Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron spotted wearing walking boot

09:59 AM ET 08.31 | Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron was spotted walking around with a walking boot on his right foot upon arriving in Atlanta and stepping in to the Georgia Dome, site of this weekend's Chick-fil-A Kickoff. McCarron did suffer a bruised foot during practice earlier in the month, so this could very well be the drawn out impact of the injury. If for any reason McCarron is not available at the start or at any point during the game, the Crimson Tide would likely put the offense in the hands of junior Blake Sims.

Hokies are depleted anyway. AJ can probably sit most of this one out, and be 100% for aTm.

Go take a seat Bama, "let the boy try".

Finally, its game day!

ESPN made such a big deal out of this last night during broadcasts of other games. Someone snapped a cellphone picture and ESPN found it. It came across as 2nd rate and cheesy. Does ESPN have a team of people monitoring Twitter?

I doubt if fans watching SMU vs. Texas Tech or any other game gave a hoot about AJ McCarron being spotted wearing a boot.

University of Pittsburgh ranked 58th. Alabama ranked 77th. I'd say that's not that much of a difference, and yet we also have a much better football team.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Very disappointed. You expect mistakes from young players, But what I seen was the veterans looking like they have never played together. From AJ, TJ, Amari, Joulston, and I know he is not a veteran but henry also could not block. I not for Jones with 3 TD's That very well could have been an upset. We need some serious work and not just at OL. I hope CNS gets in their ______. (fill in the blank). I probably should not say that with this bunch.

Hats off to VT by the way. They came to play and did just that, even with all the loses from injuries and what not. Very impressive, I can see them giving clemson some problems.
