08:06 PM ET 09.01 | New York Knicks' Sixth Man of the Year J.R. Smith is an important part of the team's success and he believes that he will be able to help lead the team to a title in the upcoming season. Smith was discussing what is ahead for the Knicks in the 2013-14 season and he made it clear that he believes a championship is in their immediate future. If Smith is correct, the Knicks and their fans will be thrilled that a championship has come their way. If not, it will just be the latest championship guarantee that was kept.

Does he mean other than when he plays NBA 2K14?

In his defense, if he told the truth and said that they have a less than probable chance of getting out of their Division, and even a harder time getting out of their Conference, the only one that would root for him would be his mother and grandmother for telling the truth.

Yeah JR, and I want to wake up next to Scarlett Johansson in the morning. Let's see who gets lucky first. I know I don't have a chance. So I don't think your running mouth has a chance.

Too late JR, the Knicks already have a championship Bro!

Give him credit for trying to stir up some media attention for the Knicks--however, doesn't look like anyone cares much about the Knicks.

And the NYK chance will be better if JR can just stay out'dem clubs during the season.

I'd take the odds on you and Scarlett before I'd take the odds on JR & the Knicks.

Groundhog day?

Not In My Lifetime, Bro.

QUOTE(#6):

This type of statement is good for JR and good for the Knicks.Good for JR - gives him an excuse to shoot "lights out" every night - after all, the Knicks are title contenders, and he needs to give them a chance of winning every game by shooting as much as possible.Good for the Knicks - puts them back in the "wishful thinking" mindset that New Yorkers love, and creates drama that the Knicks franchise thrives on.Very nice !

Do you have tickets to the 2nd round runner-up banner raising ceremony at Oracle Arena?

J.R. has obviously been hanging out with Lamar Odom.
