Tim Tebow clears waivers

08:08 PM ET 09.01 | Tim Tebow was among the final cuts of the New England Patriots on Saturday and he was not shown any love after hitting the waiver wire. Tebow successfully passed through waivers on Sunday without any team in the league placing a claim on the former Florida Gators standout. At this point in his career, it looks like Tebowmania has come to an end. It is hard to imagine a scenario where Tebow signs on with a team - unless there is a devastating injury to a top quarterback - and there has been no interest in his services since the New York Jets cut him loose. New England was viewed as his final chance and he blew it with even more terrible play during the preseason. Tebow doesn't have what it takes to make it as an NFL quarterback and the Patriots gave him the opportunity to show that off one final time.

Tebow Time!!

To find a new calling.

Tim can just go home and chill until the next team comes calling.

The Redskins might be a good fit.

What's one more QB when they're already carrying 4.

Four? When did Jon Gruden replace Shanahanigans?

They kept White and Grossman?

RGIII,
Cousins,
Rex,
Pat White.

White may be on just for mimicking Vick in practice prior to the opener but who knows with Shanny.

Tebow time!

How long before Buffalo or the Raiders come calling?

September 1, 2013  10:43 PM ET

Even if God came down to Earth and told Tebow directly that he's not an NFL quarterback, Tebow wouldn't get the message. He insists on being something he's not. Good luck with that.

He had his moment in the sun. He'll land a nice cushy job in the Floridian gubernatorial political arena of some sort and do just fine.

Tebow is incredibly wealthy and his jersey sales are amazing. He doesn't really need the NFL as much as it needs him.

He is already in demand as a motivational speaker.

Tebow wouldn't be interested in either team.

Is it just me, or does the photo above make Tebow look like Linus and his security blanket?

That being said, I believe the days of endless Tebow threads are numbered. He'll be remembered in FN lore with the likes of Favre and Ray Lewis.

I have nothing against him personally, but in the words of Rick Perry, "Adios, m0fo"

Rex Grossman has a job.

Let it not be said that the NFL doesn't give 2nd, 3rd, or 4th chances.

Well, he's been a missionary...seems like an appropriate "position"...
