Lions' Bush at a crossroads

07:12 AM ET 09.02 | Reggie Bush remains a compelling story, particularly as he nears 30. Bush, 28, has seven NFL seasons under his belt. He's had a good career, but not a great one. He knows this. And he thinks he's capable of more. "Er, I've enjoyed it, but I would say that it's been OK," Bush said. "I haven't accomplished I think half of what I set out to. So I still feel like I have a lot to give to this game and I have a lot left to prove. So I'm still going. And I don't feel old. I still feel very young and my body hasn't taken a ton of carries over these seven years." Still. The word hangs in the air. It's one of the most common descriptors of Bush these days around the NFL. Reggie Bush still has plenty of speed. Reggie Bush still has a lot left. Reggie Bush still has a lot to prove.

That's the mantra of the Lions organization, "still has a lot to prove."

If you come to a crossroad and there is a bush in it, take it.

He isn't build like an NFL runningback: too tall for his weight.

He should have switched to WR when he entered the league. And played more of a Percy Harvin-type role.

The guy could not have picked a worse team to play for!

New Orleans used him as a receiver out of the backfield more than as a running back.

After they get tired of his 2 yds a carry, I think they'll go that route too.

I'll say he has a lot to prove. Better quit thinking about "back" other than "half-back."

Mediocre career, but considering he was drafted between Mario Willliams and Vince Young, his career doesn't look that bad.

No, that wasn't the word. It was Kim.
