Oklahoma State's identity crisis

07:30 AM ET 09.02 | On the upside, Oklahoma State opened with a win, and it stands 1-0 after Week 1, which isn't to say all is well in Mike Yurcich's world. [OSU] staggered through much of the first half. It included a quarterback switch, rather than an expected two-quarterback system, and a heavy dose of run game. The overall set of play calls often resembled the Larry Fedora/Zac Robinson style, rather than the Air Raid attack that had turned the Cowboys into one of the most explosive offenses in the nation the past three seasons. Which leaves this question -- now what's the identity of the 2013 OSU offense? Mike Gundy isn't even completely sure. "I think it's too early," the Cowboy coach said. "I'm not sure that we're in position to really say that we've created any identity yet.

Whatever works.

OkState is not the only team to "stagger through the first half" of their first game.

September 2, 2013  08:34 AM ET

I "staggered through the first half" of the TCU/LSU game.

After this game the Dawg "faithful" are calling for a QB change already....

My Spartans offense is still on the field, staggering towards the end zone.

Oh yeah, I staggered and then fell asleep during the USC/Hawaii game.

If it were me, I would be calling for a head coach change, not a QB change!!!

There were a bunch of slow starts and several upsets. Pretty interesting weekend of CFB

+1. A plethora of Appy State blow-ups. FCS reaching parity with the FBS?

GTH, you are absolutely correct. That game started at 8 PST and didn't finish until around 11:30.

At U$S, you bet. About time you came around.

LOL, Georgia played in the SEC CG last year!!! They better beat South Carolina this weekend. By the way, this very well could be LK last year as HC at USC.

No [***solid excrement***]! But at least their nap time ended before the close of the 1st half.

........WTF does Okie Lite have to do to get respect from the sports writers? They solidly handled a Moo State team that, from all accounts, ain't half bad.

Good point!!!! I was thinking exactly the same thing Saturday night!! Miss State (8-4 last year) is not that bad of a team and Okie Lite beat them handily!!

Passing out is not the same as falling asleep.
