Eriksson makes his Bruins debut

07:30 AM ET 09.03 | That it was Labor Day weekend in the United States didn't keep a number of Bruins from working at their practice rink. Swedes Loui Eriksson and Carl Soderberg made their first appearances while Brad Marchand also returned to the fold after spending last week at the Team Canada orientation camp in Calgary. Eriksson was wearing a helmet with the No. 21 on the back, the former number of departed defenseman Andrew Ference. It appears that the multi-faceted Eriksson has set up shop at a locker stall in the far corner of the room that was formerly owned by his predecessor on right wing, Tyler Seguin. Tuukka Rask, Dennis Seidenberg, Jarome Iginla, Daniel Paille and David Krejci continued their regular attendance at the practice sessions, and they were joined by Bruins tough guy Shawn Thornton.

For what it's worth, no way that should have been a penalty shot...

Agreed but it was against the Pens so the refs where probably looking for one as they'd called 15 already against the Stars.

I can hear footsteps running faintly toward this thread.......could it be......DWI?

Justifiably so, I might add.

Looked like number 21 from the Avalanche back in the day on that goal.

Seems like the refs redefine a PS every year. Some IMNSHO aren't even close.

A win/win is a good thing.

25 goal 70 point season coming up for Eriksson!! Wouldn't be surprised too if he registered a +35...cant wait to see the guy play....never paid any attention to him before.

Wouldn't your last sentence send you warning lights?

Already did an interview down here... he seems like a good dude with a sense of humor. They did ask him about all of "the stuff". He seemed fairly contrite.

I think he'll be OK.

Its tough to argue against his career totals..just gotta look them up..i think 70 points is a lock for him..don't forget too he'll be playing with better talent.

As a Wing fan I'll get to see ...a lot:)

I always thought he was pretty good....

Nice! Hopefully they won't need a guard at the door! I still can't believe that! What a waste!
