07:33 AM ET 09.04 | In the case of veteran left winger Simon Gagne, patience may have to be a virtue if he is to return to the Flyers for the 2013-14 season. The Flyers cannot offer the unrestricted free agent a contract because they do not have cap space at the moment, but general manager Paul Holmgren said he was "kicking around" inviting Gagne to the team's camp next week on a tryout basis. "But I'm sure he's getting calls from other teams, too," Holmgren said Tuesday. "I have no gut feeling" as to what Gagne will do. Gagne's agent, Bob Sauve, was not available to comment. The Flyers are about $1 million over the $64.3 million cap; they will gain $4.9 million of cap relief, however, when Chris Pronger is put on the long-term injured list when the season starts. That would give them more than enough room.

Soon even Philly will share the opinion of Hartford, St Louis, Edmonton, and Anaheim.

He's a D-I-C-K.

Guess we can throw Edmonton into that puddle too...

You'd have to add the Devils and Montreal, though.....if we are thinking alike

.....what? THEN WHAT???

Isn't this guy like 60? He was on the roster when Clarke played no? His time has passed....unless there is a surgery procedure that helps whatever is holding him up........Gagne is something the flyers have trouble with, and that's ok. :)

He's 33, and was on the Kings when they won the Cup. Flashing that Ring around the lockerroom might give the younger guys something to think about.
