11:08 AM ET 09.04 | We are just over 24 hours away from the official start to Week One of the regular season and the New York Jets' first depth chart has been released. We learned on Wednesday that rookie Geno Smith would be the No. 1 quarterback, and now we know who came out on top in the Jets' running back race. Bilal Powell is the man who came in atop the depth chart in New York, which free agent signee Chris Ivory as the top backup. The Jets are going to struggle to score points, but they do have some power in the backfield with Powell and Ivory. But while Powell may have been given the first start of the season, we would expect to see Ivory take over as the lead back in a matter of weeks.

I almost drafted Powell in my fantasy draft. Then I remembered he played for the Jets.

Four fantasy drafts this year, not one Jet or Raider.

In college football, I'd say they align with Texas Tech, as that's where Buddy Holly and the Crickets began.

For the NFL? Yep, it's those Jiminey Crickey type crickets. Come April next year, the JEST will be the first team picking, with a new head coach and a GM who's wondering why he accepted the job.
