03:26 PM ET 09.05 | The Houston Texans had a tight positional battle behind starting quarterback Matt Schaub, as T.J. Yates and Case Keenum were in a dead heat throughout the postseason to win the No. 2 job. However, on Thursday afternoon, the team decided that Yates and his experience would be the one to serve as the team's primary backup. The team made the announcement official with a simple message on Twitter. For the Texans, they have to head in to the season confident in their quarterback depth thanks to strong performances by all three signal-callers. There are some teams in the league that only have faith in one of their quarterbacks, so to have three guys that your coaching staff fully believes in is a real blessing.

One of these guys will get traded to a QB desperate team in the next year.

There was never any doubt among the local sport writers and radio talk show hosts here in Houston. Keenum is a warm and fuzzy "local boy does good" story, but Yates got Houston their first post season win. Experience trumps warm and fuzzy, unless you have a 40 year old brain.

With hopefully better results than Matt Flynn.

I guess Schaub and Yeates handle the can handle Tennesee and Jacksoville rather easily, The problem is when they play The Big Boys!
