07:04 AM ET 09.06 | Bud Adams opened his wallet wide, and now he'd like to see the return on his investment. "I didn't spend that money for nothing," he said with a chuckle on Thursday. ... [Eight] months after electing to keep coach Mike Munchak and fire senior executive vice president Mike Reinfeldt in the wake of a 6-10 season, and after an offseason in which the Titans revamped their coaching staff and spent more than $100 million on free agents, Adams made it clear he expects significant improvement this fall. ... "We have the talent in there, and now we have to put it to work," Adams said during a phone conversation with The Tennessean. "I think we're going to have a good team, and I'll be real unhappy if we don't. We put out a lot of money to get what we got."

It's nice to know that Bud Adams will croak without a Lombardi trophy in his possession.

Note to Mike - This Bud ain't for you!!

The team has not won a play off game since 2003. The one constant during that time-Bud Adams.

Ha! Maybe he should try Bud light.

That's the problem with most NFL "talent". After it is paid for, it ceases working.

Example #1 = Chris Johnson

How can anybody feel sorry for you Bud knowing you screwed the taxpayers of Tennessee out of your stadium in Nashville.

September 6, 2013  09:47 AM ET

He'll never see week 8 unless he's watching the NFL Network.

Bud Adams (AKA The Most Hated Man in Houston) is such an ****. EVERY team puts out a lot of money every year. That doesn't make you a winner.

September 6, 2013  10:56 AM ET

It was worth it for Houston to be with out football for a while. We exchanged possibly the worst owner in sports for one of the best and we ended up getting a new stadium,2 super Bowls and a possible super Bowl contending team out of the deal. Yeah,It was worth it.

Maybe, if we all work together, we can turn "Munchak" into the "Santorum" of the NFL. Bud Adams is more deserving, however Adams is not as funny as Munchak.

problem for Tennessee is that they are in same division as Houston and Indianapolis. The only bright spot for Titans is that Jacksonville is in same division. a lot of money won't buy championships. Those are usually won in draft room several years down the road.

September 6, 2013  11:35 AM ET

They need to change their name from Titans to say, Good 'ol Boys. Goobers for short:)

How can anybody who is that familiar with sports think that spending more $ automatically equates to more wins? Go watch Moneyball Bud and see if you can't find somebody to sell you a better brain.

I kept waiting for Bruce Matthews to punch Adams when he took the 99 AFC championship trophy away during the presentation ceremony...

I can't imagine a single Houston sports fan not feeling the exact way you do.
