07:13 AM ET 09.06 | Fans in Minnesota, who just watched Justin Morneau leave the Twin Cities, may not see the other half of the M&M boys any time soon, either. Twins catcher Joe Mauer is still experiencing concussion symptoms and is not close to returning to the lineup. Mauer worked out at Target Field on Thursday and said he is making progress in his recovery from a concussion suffered on Aug. 19 in a game against the Mets. He's taken batting practice, ran and lifted weights. But he indicated he still has some hurdles to clear before he can play. "I start feeling symptoms when I start to get my heart rate up," Mauer said between workouts at Target Field on Thursday. Mauer is determined to return to the Twins lineup before the end of the regular season -- but he has to wait until the symptoms go away for good.

Unfortunate for you Joe being the face of the franchise you are stuck in Twinkle land the rest of your career.

There's no reason to feel sorry for poor Joe. He's being well compensated for his misery.

Shut it down and get ready for 2014. They should be a little better next season with some of their highly regarded young players in the minors.

He got his concussion banging his head against the wall over the Twins management's inability to sign some quality players.

It's not they are unable to. They just don't want to.
