Mannings wish Giants-Broncos would go away

07:44 AM ET 09.08 | Archie Manning wasn't in Denver for the Ravens game -- his wife, Olivia, was -- because he is recovering from back surgery. He also won't be at Sunday night's game in Dallas, when youngest son Eli leads the New York Giants against the Cowboys. But both Manning parents will be making the trip to East Rutherford, N.J., next Sunday to watch Peyton and Eli square off for the third time in their careers. All the Mannings sort of wish that game would go away for good. "We don't like it. [Peyton and Eli] don't like it," Archie said. "But, hey, you've kind of got to look at it as kind of an honor and how blessed we are to have two sons playing quarterback in the NFL. It's happened twice, and this may be the last time. "I look at it as, we don't get worked up about it, but it's all part of the journey. That's kind of my philosophy is, enjoy the journey."

I think big brother is going to take little brother to school on this one. But let's face it, the NFL is as much about entertainment as it is about competition, so you've got to expect games like these to be scheduled.

I think Manning will win!

The Harbaugh's had to coach against each other in the Super Bowl.

So stop your whining.

Archie should be put out to stud. Teams could bid on his offspring before their even born.

Wonder what they give mom and dad for Christmas without looking cheap? An Island perhaps?

Revis Island will likely be available again in 2014 when he demands another renegotiation.

I would have though that match up would have been his favourite. No pressure to cheer one over the other. Just sit and drink beer in a luxury box!

Now Archie knows what it is like to sit through a divorce settlement in West Virginia. What cousin do you root for? You just hope no one gets hurt when the shooting starts.

LOL - A new meaning for "rolling your own"?

They should be thankful they're both QBs and not on the field at the same time. If one was a QB and the other a blitzing LB they'd have a real complaint then!!!

Besides having a constant look of sudden onset diaharhea on his face, why does Eli not have the national pitchman deals like big brother or Aaron Rodgers?

Plus there is 22 guys on the field and any one of them could do something great (or stupid) to change whatever the brothers are trying to do. Not including the Refs that could do something.....

I did wish one thing yesterday, that Eminem would go away.

Are those regional commercials? All I see here in Houston is big brother trying to sell Buicks to people under 70 and the Discount Double Check.
