Would Glaus approve L.A. trade?
The Dodgers and Angels desperately need a big bat, maybe not to win in September but definitely to win in October, with third base the most logical fit for both teams. And Troy Glaus, a former UCLA star and the 2002 World Series MVP for the Angels, remains an elite slugger. Toronto General Manager J.P. Ricciardi did not return a call, but another major league executive who spoke with him last week said he was not ready to trade Glaus. The agent for Glaus said the Blue Jays have not even broached the possibility. Glaus would have to approve any trade.

He struck out 130 times last season.....and he hits something like 30 homers. He's horrible with runners in scoring position. JP rape the Dodgers or Angels in a trade for this slugging strike-out player.

its a no brainer they need to trade him for some serious pitching prospects, but I wouldnt trade him right away, JP needs to make sure he gets the absolute most for him, and the last thing he needs to do is make another terrible move!

The only way the Angels trade for Glaus is if the price isnt too much. The Angels have superstar quality youth and dont want to give it up unless it is for a superstar like Tejada. This has been proven over and over again. I think the Angels will wait til the offseason to sign A-Rod.

toronto could keep him ,the dodgers better stick to Laroche or betimit and stop trading away prospects from the farm and start using them.

I hope Troy comes back to the Angels. Since he left, the Angels have had a void in third base, and they could certainly use his home runs and RBIs

If Toronto can acquire any decent prospects at all, I would deal him in a second. Why not? They are going nowhere and Glaus isn't a spring chicken anymore. He does have major pop, but not much else. He has shown some injury problems of late, so if you can get a player who could start for the next ten years for you, why wouldn't they. I would hope he wouldn't veto a trade if it would allow him to enter the playoff chase. The Angels have lots to offer for him and JP would be foolish not to make a move. If he waits, he might lose out and be stuck with a large contract and an eighty win team. JP, make it happen.

I wouldn't say Toronto is going anywhere, it's still a little early to be predicting that. ..I don't think JP will unload him just because of his presence in the lineup. I mean, seeing Glaus in the lineup is a little scarier than John McDonald. Hopefully the Jays hold on to everybody(except J.T. and Ohka...anyone??) and miraculously get it together to claim a wild card spot.

Why trade him? Whose going to play third for the Jays? Maybe around trade deadline trade him.... Let him build up his value, or implode and drop his value.
