Oklahoma's QB derby back on after possible injury

07:30 AM ET 09.09 | Trevor Knight, who was coming off a quarter in which he'd recorded more interceptions (two) than pass completions (one), had certainly earned his benching on Saturday. But Sunday, new information surfaced that might help explain Knight's poor performance -- and the noticeable change in play calling -- in the third quarter. Tricia Knight, Trevor's mother, posted a Facebook status Sunday morning from Oklahoma City's McBride Orthopedic Hospital that said, "Praying no damage to Trevor's knee." Later Sunday, ESPN.com reported Knight had an MRI on his knee but that the injury isn't thought to be serious, citing a team source. ... But -- because of injury, ineffectiveness or some combination of both -- one thing is now abundantly clear: Oklahoma's quarterback derby is back on.

OU without a QB. Welcome to my world.

RRSO could be a throwback game. Student body left, student body right.

WTFJJ happened to Texas this weekend? Didn't see that coming at all. Provo Poligymists were 0-1, Texas problems are all "fixed".

U$C was somewhat expected, and ND had a tough road game against a quality opponent, but the UTx lost by that margin and that stat line really caught me off guard.

Then you simply don't adjust or change your strategy with the obvious expectation the offense is going to play into your hands.

This sounds like Spurrier in the MNC back in '96 against Nebraska, only it was our offense getting our brains blitzed out, and he wouldn't hold back a RB or TE to help in protection, and Danny Wuerffel dam near got killed. Spurdog absolutely refused to adjust.

Simple answer. You play nickel defense the entire game against an opponent that cannot throw but can run. Then you simply don't adjust or change your strategy with the obvious expectation the offense is going to play into your hands.

You happy with the change at DC? What does Mack have to do to keep his job?

Another blow-out in the RRSO will be hard to ever over-come, don't you think?

Understatement of the season to date right there.

Oh is great. A very high completion rate, especially when the other team is included.

That should be on his armband for the rest of his playing career.

Throw the ball away if it looks bad. One throwaway the whole game.
