04:17 PM ET 09.09 | The Jacksonville Jaguars announced via Twitter on Monday that starting quarterback Blaine Gabbert will miss the Jaguars' Week 2 matchup against the Oakland Raiders. Gabbert, a third-year player from Missouri, had a dismal showing in the Jaguars' 28-2 loss to Kansas City in Week 1 when he finished with just 121 yards on 16 of 35 passes with two interceptions. Gabbert said he injured his hand late in the contest and needed 15 stitches on his throwing hand. With Gabbert out, the team will likely turn to veteran Chad Henne to run the show against the Raiders.

After W1, I'd rule him out for the next 15 weeks.

I live in Jax. If there was a more dismal display of football, I have not seen it. These guys are beyond bad. Zero talent and zero hope. And yet the morons calling talk radio still want you-know-who.

The Jag's need to dump this clown. He has done nothing but suk for over two years. The only consolation they have is first pick next year. Gabbert, could maybe do well on the Patriots however, since most of their passes are 5 yards, or less, in the air....

Yet they have a GM who came in and from minute one said Tebow will never play here. Tebow could have filled their house and won some games.

I have to agree. I know Tebow isn't great, but he could certainly at least create some excitement there.

This franchise needs a 'Tebow', something to generate a buzz. It's not like they are going anywhere, give a 'Tebow' a chance...

Filling seats is not the problem in Jax. Winning games = filling seats...and we all have seen, Tebow doesn't win games. Lets start with the root of the problem, not a bandaid.

That has to suck. Both the bad football and the idiotic fans wanting Tebow.

Tebow does win games. He's just not a good QB.

Jax needs something to give the fans.

Jags are my home feed too. If I have to suffer through the games, give me a local Boy to cheer.

I resemble that remark.

Tebow Time!!!

Well, as the season in Jacksonville was never in danger of being a successful one on the field, why not try to put butts in the seats by bringing in a semi local hero? maybe make some money in preparation for their move to either London or LA?

You just need to drink more.

Owners plan is working to perfection. He has no interest in JAX. He will move the team, his preference would be London, as soon as he gets the chance. Would be much tougher to move a winner........

September 10, 2013  11:58 AM ET

Fire the GM and bring in Tebow. Good for the fans and get a guy who knows how to win games.

September 10, 2013  12:02 PM ET

The owners plan is working to perfection. No doubt Tebow would help the team's short term success. He would buy them some time to sort out their mess - if that was their goal. Khan is not interested. From day one his intention was to get his foot in the door of the NFL, period. He doesn't care about JAX. His goal is to move the team. His first choice, London. It is much easier to move a team if they are not winning, have poor attendance, etc. The owner shows up in London for every major sporting event, laying the ground work for his future plans. Seen him out and about in Jacksonville? Of course he can't do it without the NFL's blessing, but other than the travel issue, what's stopping it? JAX fans are just getting used as a means to an end. NFL in London would be cool if the logistics could be worked out. If there are any season ticket holders left standing in JAX, at least send them first class to the home opener at Wembly........

The Jags will go nowhere, except to a new city, with Gabbert and Henne taking the snaps.
