Mike Wahle is actually like 31 or something...not really what I'd consider "on the end of the career"

There is some talk about the Packers taking him back hyperRevue, but based on the # of free agent guards, its unlikely he'd return to the Packers when alot of teams would be willing to pay alot more than the Pack for him.

He had a great first year in Carolina but has struggled the last two with shoulder injuries. That is one reason why Carolina let him go. They have a few other guards that can take his place for a lower price tag. Both of Carolina's tackles are FAs so they needed to free up cap space to try and re-sign them. Another reason he was cut.

He can't really make much of a case for not getting cut considering his slack play this past season...who knows what's up with the Panthers...it was an abismal season all the way around.

panthers had to do something this off season. may as well try and get rid of some old not working parts.

Mike Wahle will make someone very happy next year, this coming from a Panthers fan. He did save the team over 4 million in cap room so the decision to cut him made some sense, even if he is a very good lineman.

Yes I am a homer, but give me a team that will be better in the NFC next year.

The article says he and morgan will still count 5 million under the cap for this year because of the pro -rating of money. Don't see how it is such a good money deal to me...Unless the guy does not have it anymore. Holmgren is no fool, he must have some gas left in the tank to get an invite there...

Maybe they cut him in Carolina becuase Wahle found out that unless you play for the Packers you will actually get called for holding
