Spartans up to four QBs in the mix

07:19 AM ET 09.11 | In East Lansing, apparently, not even four is a crowd. Michigan State fans who have been chanting for true freshman quarterback Damion Terry are closer today to getting their wish. MSU coach Mark Dantonio said Terry will be getting the No. 2 reps today in practice, meaning he has a chance of playing Saturday against Youngstown State (2 p.m., BTN). Sophomore quarterback Connor Cook will get the No. 1 reps and is the favorite to start. Those two, senior Andrew Maxwell and redshirt freshman Tyler O'Connor are all listed as co-starters on the depth chart, and Dantonio said all four are still "sort of in the mix." But he also said it's difficult to prepare more than two quarterbacks for a game. He said Terry "deserves an opportunity" after what he did over the summer.

With six you get eggroll. Just sayin ...

Maybe, just maybe, one of them will separate from the pack and lead the skirt wearers to the promised land.

So the guy responsible for the Rich Rod defenses at Michigan is now going to be DC for a UT squad that can not tackle to save their lives.

Yikes!

We'll be reacing out to Muschamp after the season. He's still the HCIW.

I found this article to be quite comical:

Apparently, Michigan won't be hosting MSU for their singular annual night game because the natives from East Lansing have no decorum..............pity, I'd LOVE to see 'Little Brother' get beat under the lights.

Seriously wanted the Longhorn fans thoughts about Greg Robinson.

Jeremy Foley will make UTx pay a lot before y'all get him. Y'all have the resources to hire him away, one of the few schools that could out bid UF.

Also, I am sure Muschamp loves the LHN following him around. When in reality they should follow his wife around.

No offense intended to either side (UF or UTx) but are you sure you still want him?

Most LH fans I've talked to are just hoping he lines them up in a base defense and lets them react based on fundamentals and instinct. You can't unteach 3 years of the FireZone in less than a week, so this is all we can hope for. It could be hard for the young guys who spent the whole spring and summer being taught to play like automatons within their assigned circles.

I hope I never see another FireZone blitz. Really stupid to have the DL and DB stumbling over each other while the LB gets stranded "within his assigned circle."

But it really won't matter Robinson will be shown the door along with Mack in December.

If I remember correctly Robinson runs a 3-3-5 defense. That seems like a base defense in the Big 12.

If Deloss keeps Mack around, how soon is Deloss gone?

If I was a Texas fan, that is whose head I would want to roll. Winning does not seem to be a priority with Deloss

UTx's defense looked good in Diaz's first year because we had LB's who had 2 years of Muschamp's coaching, and still reacted and tackled the way they had been taught prior to the FireZone. Yes I'd take him back in a heartbeat! I would enjoy having a defensive-minded HC who understood X's and O's. But David Shaw would be my #1.

Michigan fans seem to think the 3-3-5 was Rich Rod's idea and Robinson ran a defense he really didn't completely buy into. Of course this is all speculation.

I think it's time for DeLoss to retire. I've grown tired of his lack of action regarding coaching hires/replacements. Otherwise he's been good for the university.

Let's face it: Texas is a polarizing program and we live in a blame-game society, so DeLoss gets a lot of blame whether he deserves it or not. UTx fans appreciate DeLoss hiring coaches that could clean up the cheating and keep us out of trouble. Texas has so many big-money boosters and to keep these guys from meddling in your programs and undermining your coaches takes a skilled leader. Whoever they replace him with needs to be good at this or we'll be on instant NCAA probation.

did they just skip spring ball this year?

Keep the boosters from meddling and keep them giving money.

Don't get me wrong, Deloss is a business genius. LHN and the Big 12 payouts leverage.

Addendum: So the guy responsible for the Tressel & Fickell offenses offenses at tOSU is now the co- Offensive Coordinator for a Sparty squad that is still trying to field a starting QB. Double Yikes!

I read that article, and found it humorous, too. It is obvious tsun is too chicken to play either Sparty or The Buckeyes under the lights!

Also, I find it hilarious that tsun's AD doesn't want to play under the lights because too many of their fans would end up in jail and/or hospital!! And that number would probably triple when they lose! FN hilarious! what a bunch of maroons...
