07:20 AM ET 09.11 | One of college football's most anticipated games of the season -- if not the past year -- won't have Johnny Manziel's comments to fuel the fire. The Texas A&M quarterback opted not to speak with reporters during Tuesday's weekly interview sessions. He addressed questions after the Aggies win over Sam Houston State on Saturday, but not on game week entering Saturday's 2:30 p.m. meeting with No. 1 Alabama. "Quite frankly, he and his family and his advisers, his lawyers and family have advised him not to talk and I'll respect his wishes for that," Aggie coach Kevin Sumlin told reporters in College Station. "There will be a time when he'll be able to speak to the media. In that sense, I'm going to respect his request not to speak to the media at this time. Like I said, I think Saturday he did a great job."

For some people the hardest part of growing up is leaning when to speak and when to shut up.

If this doesn't work, his lawyers will advise the rest of us not to listen.

The old doctor I had growing up had a large mouth bass mounted on his office wall. He had a cartoon bubble drawn on the wall with words coming from its mouth that said, "If I'd have just learned to keep my mouth shut I wouldn't be mounted on this wall now."

I have a friend who is a family counselor, has a P.H.D. One of his favorite things to say to people (guys not gals) is "you just need to learn to shut up"

Or, to borrow a line from one of the Shrek movies, "Donkey, you *have* the right to remain silent. What you lack is the capacity!"

Best bet is to not have him talk for the remainder of his time at A&M, boy's a box of rocks.

If TAMU wins this game, JFF will be free to do whatever he wants. No one at TAMU will stop him.

Their Chancellor and President would probably try to party with him.

Someone played with the Manny Diaz wiki page."Manny Diaz (born March 13, 1974) is the former defensive coordinator and linebackers coach for the University of Texas Longhorns. Manny Diaz was fired early into the 2013 football season with Texas after imploding against BYU in a game that would later be known as "The Mormon Soak" to Longhorn fans. He has never coached football since. He currently resides in Miami with his mother and works at the local junior high as a part time janitor and assistant coach for the lady's soccer team."

cleaning up the mess someone else made this time?

Sounds like good advice for us posters. For some all the time and for others some of the time.

But then there'd be less to read here and not near as entertaining.

Geez. Incredible how media create so much crap around nobodies. Why is this dude even relevant?? A dumb **** college kid who won an award last year. You'd think he was Elvis. I don't blame him though for all the media hype. Typical build them up and rip em down syndrome.

If my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle.

I'd LOVE to see it happen but I put the odds of that happening somewhere between getting struck by lightning and Big Ears getting impeached for all his scandals.
