07:19 AM ET 09.12 | Though more time has passed in Kobe Bryant's recovery from a torn left Achilles tendon, the Lakers star still hasn't gained much clarity on a timetable for returning to the basketball court. "I don't know [whether] that means I'll start the season -- I hope so," Bryant said in a recent interview to Time Out Dubai. ... The Lakers start their season Oct. 29 against the Clippers, giving Bryant a little more than seven more weeks to rehab his Achilles. ... The Lakers have started informal workouts at the team's training facility this week, and has indicated through its Twitter accounts that Chris Kaman, Nick Young, Wesley Johnson and Jodie Meeks have made regular appearances. Meanwhile, Bryant has frequented the facility to work on his rehab.

Ooops, what happened? Didn't he say he was on track to be ready at the beginning of the season? You mean all of those tweeting and proving everybody wrong were just bluffs? Most of us said he should take his time but he wanted to prove us wrong. Nobody is doubting him except himself.

As the Kobe turns.

SMH.

Didn't he say he was on track to be ready at the beginning of the season?...

Re-read your question. The answer is there.

<here's a hint: Being on track and a guarantee are not the same thing>

There are no guarantees in life...

<sits back and admires cliche>

And such a fine cliche it is......thank you ;-) !

If Kobe is really smart, he shouldn't stress his body too much this season, and make himself in top shape for the next.

Methinks someone just felt a twinge of tendinitis. Or had Blake blow past him in a one on one.

That crystal ball is actually his wife's next get-out-of-jail diamond in case he messes up again.

He can guarantee to be on hand for game 1 when THE BANNER(tm) goes up?* runs to stand near the bunker *

LOL, what banner??? I"m sure that Mecca will be there to see the Clipps raise their "first Pacific division title banner"!!!! I'm still wondering how that "one" banner will look amongst all the Lakers NBA title banners!!!! Maybe I should travel to LA for the game and sit by Mecca and we can reminisce about all the past Laker and Clipper games!!!! :-)
