07:20 AM ET 09.12 | "I have absolutely no idea" -- that's what LeBron James said when asked about the future as it relates to his pending free agency after this season. Somewhere in Chicago, those five little words had to have Bulls general manager Gar Forman smiling. Forman, like at least half the GMs across the Association, isn't conducting his business solely hoping that James opts out of his current deal with Miami next summer and picks his team, but the idea of what this upcoming free agent class could look like definitely has to factor into decisions being made at the Berto Center right now. ... A long shot? Definitely, but with the Bulls at least in the conversation with James in his first decision, one that the organization has to explore.

QUOTE(#4):

I f the Bulls were serious about this wouldn't they have amnestied Boozer? I suspect this is just a reporter creating a story.

I think almost every team that will have cap space next summer will make a run for him. Bulls and Lakers are 2nd and 3rd behind the Heat in the running.

QUOTE(#6):

The problem is that sometimes you miss out on other guys that can help you while you wait on one guy. Other players don't want to be seen as second choice. They will make their own deals with teams. Chicago has made that mistake before and then they end up overspending for somebody else.

Yup, but they'll have to take their chance again. They will not have another shot at Lebron if he opts out next year.

take a run at Lebron for what?
When they have they second superstar Boozer!

No.....not yet. They can amnesty Boozer after the season to free up $$$$ to take a run a James.

But as you and I have noted previously, amnestying Boozer now leaves them at a deficit, and puts them in no better position to land/pay james next season..

Maybe getting 'Melo can be more realistic? he could be a better fit with Rose, as a pure scorer. 'Bron needs the ball too much, Rose is the better ball handler.

This is stupid. Lebron is not leaving Miami Everyone should save themselves the aggavation and disappointment. Go for someone attainable and leave this pipe dream alone.
