Buckeyes forced to start Guiton?

07:29 AM ET 09.12 | A day after saying he was "fairly optimistic" that Braxton Miller would start this weekend at Cal, Urban Meyer still wasn't certain on Wednesday. [Miller] will definitely be on the plane. What Meyer can't say for sure yet, however, is whether Miller will play. "He came in and did a bunch of rehab, and we'll know more tomorrow," Meyer said of Miller after practice Wednesday evening. "[Thursday] is going to be the day when we find out how much he'll play." ... "It's an MCL and it's a little unstable," Meyer said. "He has to get used to that brace." Meyer said there's a chance Ohio State will start backup Kenny Guiton to test the waters to see how the Buckeyes perform under his leadership before gauging whether they absolutely need Miller.

Nope. Cal don't play big boy football so all is well.

Sounds to me like Urbie is a little nervous or he shouldn't even consider playing Miller...

Hey j/s. Temporary hijack. Question for a husker. I don't ever recall any issues with Ndamukong Suh when he was at Nebraska and in the Big 12...other than he was a damn good player. Did he have any similar history while a husker or did he just go brain dead when he got to the NFL?

Too bad Cal isn't a good team. Maybe they can pull off an upset and kick those Cheaters from ColumbAss in the bucknuts and win the game!

he played hard but not dirty, I think he had a spell there where he was brain dead but now he can't get out from under his reputation. There was a story on the radio this morning saying since his last fine, several players have been flagged for multiple personal fouls and received 0 fines from the NFL, I think he's become a bit of a whipping boy...

Thanks. I just couldn't ever remember anything bad about him.

"The combination of Cal's offensive prowess, Braxton Miller's questionable health and the inevitable fatigue of cross-country travel should have Ohio State fans feeling a little nervous this week. The Buckeyes have a lot of young defenders who will play their first significant minutes of a road game against a power-conference opponent. Realistically, the Buckeyes will get more pressure on Goff than Northwestern did, and their offense should have a field day against the Bears' defense, with or without a full-strength Miller. (Ohio State can move the ball just fine with backup Kenny Guiton if needed.) But it's worth tuning in for if for no other reason than to get your first glimpse of the kid Cal fans are already hailing as the second coming of Aaron Rodgers." - Stuart Mandel, College Football Overtime

Like I said yesterday: entertaining.

I hope the Cal band mocks those Cheaters from ColumbASS during half time.

Millers isnt needed for this game...GTH could start and they would win easily

Very flattering, if unrealistic. I did my work in the trenches. Didn't have to worry about anything beyond attack points and filling gaps and making tackles.

Cal's band can't hold a candle to the Trees' brand of ridicule.
