07:54 AM ET 09.15 | The Heat initially balked when Michael Beasley's agent called to say Beasley would like to play here. But Pat Riley re-considered, and the concerns of Riley and Erik Spoelstra were eased when they met with him last week. Look for Alonzo Mourning to be closely involved in his mentoring.

Nice to be talented enough to be given a 2nd chance, or is this his 3rd, no, maybe his fourth. That being said I guess Zo has to do something to justified picking up a check. Michael has talent but lacks the key ingredient that any SUPERSTAR/STAR must have, MATURITY. He and everyone else wants to play in Miami, most just won't say so in public. The only question I have believe me is this, what does Michael intend to bring to the table other than his appetite.

Unlike most other people, I think Beas signing is rather insignificant. he will never get much minutes to play to be of an impact. Heat will threepeat with or w/o him anyway, i don't see ANy team in either conference good enough to stop the Heat.

I'm not one to say that a young man doesn't deserve an opportunity to redeem himself, but wouldn't it be nice if this happened to someone who doesn't play basketball and doesn't earn more money than he knows what to do with?
