Criticism doesn't bother Christian Ponder

10:34 AM ET 09.15 | It's amazing to see the amount of criticism directed at Christian Ponder from fans and the media alike. The 25-year-old, who last season became the second-youngest starting quarterback in Vikings history to take the team to the playoffs (behind Daunte Culpepper), already has people calling for him to be replaced following the season-opening 34-24 loss at Detroit last week. But the Florida State product said that if he is going to have success, he cannot do anything other than ignore the newspapers and what people outside the team have to say about his play. "I don't read it, so I'm focused on my job and that's to keep getting better and improve as a football team and lead this team to some wins and hopefully the playoffs," Ponder said. "I don't know what's being said, and I couldn't care less."

Keep telling yourself that, Chris.

They aren't getting rid of him anytime soon. He is smart and understands the system he is in. They have no one else who does at the QB position. Besides he has AP as his savior. Why does he need to be replaced with that.

Considering the only points for the Vikes so far today are on returns, and it's almost halftime and he's already thrown his 4th pick of the season, he's 4/11 for 52 yards.....

He and OC Bill Musgrave need to find another job.

Ponder sucks. It's between him and Gabbert as the worst QB in the NFL.

Yea Christian. Ignore everyone's advice, just like Tebow as it worked so well fo him.

If he's going to have success, then he cannot do anything other than learning how to play pro football. Or, QB for the Jets.
