Jadeveon Clowney expected to have surgery after season

11:29 AM ET 09.15 | South Carolina Gamecocks defensive end Jadeveon Clowney has been battling nagging injuries throughout the early part of the season. Clowney plans to push through the injuries for the remainder of the season, but he will likely require surgery at the end of the season on his right foot. It will be interesting to see how Clowney's minor surgery could affect his availability throughout the draft process, but it's unlikely to hurt his stock. Even if the clean up forces Clowney to miss the Scouting Combine or limits him from working out for scouts, it would be a shock if he's not a top five draft pick in 2014.

Will you still get paid?

Why didn't he have corrective surgery during the past off-season?

Blah blah blah ... "his draft status..."
blah blah blah ... "the scouting combine ..."
blah blah blah ... "top 5 draft pick.."

Who cares? To heck with his danged draft status and the lame-o scouting combine. He'll go to Oakland and we'll never see him again. We want to see him play in college right NOW.

Poor Clowney, it is just amazing that he is able to stand up an entire game much less play with those big spurs on his heels. I am going to try contacting Te'O old girlfriend, since she made such a miraculous recovery and see if she has any tips for him to rise again. In the mean time he is just going to have to keep competing for those sympathy votes. We all know if it weren't for those spurs he would be the best defensive college player out there... if only.

He might be in College ......but will see what happens in the NFL, where O-lineman are bigger and faster.

He's already finished as far as the Heisman is concerned. Right now, it looks like Johnny Football's again.
