07:11 AM ET 09.16 | Never before has Kris Humphries reported to camp as early he has Boston in 2013, and, after a summer dedicated to erasing some of the inconsistencies in his game, he has his sights set on a career reboot. [Humphries] and management are prepared to make some noise. "Last year was a tough situation, up and down. For whatever reason, sometimes things just don't work out," Humphries said. ... "We're out to try to prove that we're a team that can compete every night, and whenever people sort of write you off, it's a lot of motivation. I'm not looking to be a part of a tanking situation. I know that [president of basketball operations] Danny Ainge has said that they're not looking to tank, and I'm sure Brad Stevens coming in is definitely not looking to do that. So it's just about competing and bringing it every night."

I still think he got away with one on KG last season, but as a baller, he deserves more credit than he's given. Outside of all the drama that his failed marriage generated, he is a solid big man who has averaged close to a double/double for his career. He plays a lot taller than 6-9 too.

Hump doesn't wanna be on a tanking team. And winning teams don't want Hump be to on their side! What a paradox!
