07:20 AM ET 09.16 | Monday is moving day for Nathan MacKinnon, this past June's No. 1 overall draft pick, but he won't be scooping up a swanky loft downtown or a McMansion in the 'burbs. Instead, reflecting that he just turned 18 on Sept. 1 and is the contemporary of Americans in the early stages of their senior years of high school, MacKinnon is moving into the area home of veteran goalie Jean-Sebastien Giguere, 36, and his wife, Kristen. In effect, the Avalanche rookie is becoming the fourth Giguere kid, joining Maxime-Olivier, 6; Luka, 4; and Felix, 1. "I'm excited," MacKinnon said [Sunday] ... "I think it's good for a young guy like that to be in a family environment," Giguere said of MacKinnon. "But sometimes, he will need to have some freedom as well. I'm not his dad."

Always a worry. He's been a top scorer where ever he's gone.

I admire Giguere, even though he wasn't very good for the Leafs, even with Allaire there.

He has been to the finals twice. conn Smythe winner as the loser, and he's got his Cup ring.

Nice place to start a career......to bad he isn't a goaltender, Mackinnon not Giggy....then again.. ;)
