Jaguars don't expect Blaine Gabbert for Week 3

04:27 PM ET 09.16 | The Jacksonville Jaguars are clearly the worst team in the NFL, at least after two weeks, as they look as lifeless and unmotivated as any team in the league right now. It doesn't help matters that their starting quarterback is out with an injury and isn't expected to return this week. Don't mistake Gabbert for a savior, as he's shown he's nothing more than a backup through his first three years in the NFL, but it has to be disheartening for the team and franchise as a whole to see everything they've invested in Gabbert be all for nothing. This roster needs to be completely purged by the time they're drafting Teddy Bridgewater with the No. 1 overall pick in May's NFL Draft.

I don't think there's much chance of anyone mistaking him for a savior.

Chad Henne. He's no savior, either.

On the other hand, he may actually be better than Gabby.

I was the one who was always against the jags when they were talking about signing tebow and I am a gators fan (for those of you who think that matters) because I thought gabber was going to transition after having full off seasons, but I think the guys time is up no more developing a player who cant be developed and I was also someone, so now I think why not sign tebow he cant hurt anything, cant make us any worse....I was also the guy who thought my jags could be a sleeper team this year and win some games but now I realize I was a fool although I do have some hope if we could develop a passing game and get mjd healthy we could maybe win a few but hell might as well go for the #1 overall pick

Next off season they could sign Josh Freeman for peanuts.

Does it really matter? The results are always the same.
