07:29 AM ET 09.17 | Things had been going along well enough for the University of Wisconsin this past weekend in Tempe. But after the Badgers endured a controversial 32-30 loss with new coach Gary Andersen at the helm, Jen Bielema appeared in the crosshairs of social media. She hash-tagged the word "karma" and posted it to her Twitter account, touching off a storm of anger from UW fans. ... In a text message Monday, [Bret Bielema] said his wife was responding only to a small pocket of "sick and ruthless" people that "constantly hound her" via social media. Bielema said his wife was "crushed" to learn of the widespread impact her one-word entry had on UW fans and that wasn't her intent. He said he knows that criticism comes with his job description, "but she lets it get to her."

You can take the stripper out of the strip club, but you can not take the strip club out of the stripper.

Maybe it's easy for me to say because I don't participate (i.e., not addicted) much in social media, but maybe she should just stay out of the twitterverse?

She's pretty nice looking and apparently met her husband in Vegas at a casino, but she was on vacation with her sister. Badger fans seem a little tetchy.

I'll take her....warts and all! :-)

Bielema's young trophy wife married handsome Brett for Love?? Right. That blonde bimbo saw money?

Your judge easily, but your judgments derive from baseless projections. Try Matthew 7:1-2 on for size.

Actually, I found Jen's "Karma" tweet to be timely, given the respective outcomes of the TSUN/Akron and Wisky/ASU games. B1G Karma was definitely "instant" last Saturday.

I think if the truth were to come out about what Barry Alvarez put them through...about what he's like to work for...everyone would understand her comment. I think the world got a glaring look into his arrogance and personality...and it wasn't pretty. The way he handled the entire Rose Bowl fiasco was a joke. He acted like he was the 2nd Coming the way he insisted on coaching the team and that there was NOBODY who could do the job that he could. Getting his **** kicked was one of the greatest moments of the entire bowl season. He could have been graceful and allowed an assistant take the helm...he could have let Gary Andersen be involved, he had several options. Nope...his ego wouldn't allow it. I think Bret Bielema couldn't get out of there soon enough. He jumped at the chance to go ANYWHERE decent.

The misogynistic comments on this thread are really quite disturbing. Some of you guys have real issues with women.

At least one would need to need to know what "misogynistic" means first, and would be too lazy and ignorant to bother to look it up in a dictionary.

I miss the days when Twitter did not exist.

Orwellian surveillance society is now. Funny, though, how there's never enough evidence to be found for NCAA violations, the Vest notwithstanding.

The NCAA had Nevin Shapiro giving evidence and somehow they screwed the pooch on the investigation.

Matthew 7:1-2

I've been caught reading Matthew at two weddings. At the first, it "creeped out" the mother of the groom. At the second, it "creeped out" the father of the bride. What's with Matthew and the parents of the happy couple to be? Sheesh...
