Profanity not Pelini's biggest problem

07:32 AM ET 09.17 | Monday was a very bad day for Bo Pelini, who was left to apologize for an obscenity-laced rant against Nebraska's fans. I don't think this development is reason to fire Pelini. Put it this way: Place a hidden recorder at a chancellor's palatial dinner party and see what comes out of it. ... The problem for Pelini is toxicity level. When Nebraska falters badly on the field, as was the case Saturday against UCLA, and in blowout losses in 2012 and 2011, the mood among the fans becomes downright nasty. Toxic. It happens at a lot of places. To make matters worse, Bo's surly demeanor turns some people off. The toxicity can become debilitating. It can lead to empty seats. It can lead to phone calls from boosters to the AD. The momentum against a head coach, once it gets rolling, is difficult to stop.

Spurrier did not recruit Tommie, look how that turned out.

Could say the same thing about the Carolina Con-Man recruiting <insert name of any decent Texas HS QB here>.

Carolina Con Man...that's good Otis.

PAC 12 is now the second best conference top to bottom and rising. Big 10 going the other way. Reality hits hard sometimes.

Frazier may have been an excellent college QB but as head coach at Doane College, he was 3-17.

Gotta give credit where credit is due... got that from the Hardline years ago. They had to put it away after VY led the Horns to the NC but I believe it's more than appropriate at this point.

With just a tiny bit of help from their officiating friends.

"Bo's surly demeanor turns some people off..."

I think that could be extended to more than a few of his players as well. Having constant meltdowns on the sidelines in game situations does not engender confidence in a team. If anything, it's an unwanted distraction and psychologically debilitating.

The Carolina Con-Man has yet to be destroyed by a Texas QB in the NC title game.
