07:13 AM ET 09.18 | As the story moves forward, none of the headlines are outstanding in the case of Broncos left tackle Ryan Clady in Denver. On Monday, we reported that [Clady] could miss at least a few weeks with a Lisfranc sprain. Those few weeks could be at least eight. Per a league source, the Broncos are still evaluating their options for Clady. Those options include placing Clady on short-term injured reserve. If that happens, Clady would not be able to practice for six weeks or play for eight. Thus, the sooner they put him on short-term IR, the better. Chris Clark will be the first guy to replace Clady, who has never missed a game in five-plus NFL seasons.

Why leave your best players in a game that was over after the third quarter. No way Peyton should have still been taking snaps. The game is out of reach put your back-up in COACH !

The Denver Post is now reporting that Clady will have season ending foot surgery. Let the gloom descend and the 'Payton is doomed' threads to begin.

Clady is a perfect example of why players want those big long term contracts....never know when you might get hurt. Bet it has already occurred to him how happy he was to sign his deal earlier this year.
