RGIII ready to race Garcon

07:09 AM ET 09.19 | Coming off another dispiriting performance, Washington has its share of distractions this week. On Tuesday, Redskins wide receiver Pierre Garcon said Robert Griffin III's knee brace is blunting his speed. On Wednesday, Griffin challenged Garcon to a race. He was joking -- we think. "I love Pierre," Griffin said. "If he wants to race, I'm more than willing to do that. Pierre is going to be Pierre, and I can't really say anything about what he says." A day earlier, Garcon told ESPN 980: "Robert obviously can't run as fast as he did last year because of his knee brace and his knee." ... Pressed to discuss the hinged brace that he's been wearing since returning from ACL surgery, Griffin said the device is not having any ill effects on his ability to run. "I don't think so," he said. "No."

What could have been.....teams need to stay away from these running qb's

Yes. Because that is what his game solely focuses on. Take away his running ability and he has nothing. At all. Not even a little bit. No arm. No accuracey. No ability to read the defense.

Great insight, thanks for your contributions.

Yeah that's it. Couldn't possibly be that I am an Eagles fan but hearing BS like this is irratating. It has to be that I'm a sensitive homer.

You're 2/2 with great posts on this thread. A streak I'm sure that won't be broken given the posts I've seen you make elsewhere.

He's not even ready to race the Tin Man without the oil can.

Match races tend to end badly, even in horse racing.

When you are O-2 and soon to be 0-3, you just need to shut up!

Wonder if they ought to save all that energy for game time? This team is getting ready to flush this season away if they're not careful and they're not going on a six or seven game winning streak.
