What will Washington do without Okafor? Very little

07:15 AM ET 09.19 | Now that Emeka Okafor has been ruled out indefinitely because of a herniated disk in his neck, perhaps the first question to ask is whether the Wizards will sign another free agent. Based on what I've been told by persons with knowledge of the situation today, no. There are two reasons why: They don't believe there's another player available as a free agent who is better than their current options Kevin Seraphin, Nene, Al Harrington and Jan Vesely. And remember, every team is allowed a maximum of 15 players under contract to start the season, and that includes injured players. Okafor has not been ruled out for the season. ... Who will start at center? Ultimately, training camp that starts Sept. 28 will determine that. But the logical choice appears to be to move over Nene.

Ariza left the Lakers for Houston who then traded him several years later to New Orleans so don't see why Houston would want Ariza a second time around.

lol....okafur isn't a star, but he's a functional rotation player.Washington could surprise some teams and they will be in the hunt for the 7-8 seed.

Yes.. they have the talent to compete but there are way too many players that will play 'me ball'
