03:12 PM ET 09.20 | The Miami Dolphins have been impressive to start the 2013-14 NFL season and some are now believing that they are the best team in the AFC East, but they don't seem to be done bolstering their defensive front just yet. According to reports, the Dolphins have recently worked out defensive tackle Marvin Austin, who was selected by the New York Giants in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft. Austin was released by the Giants during the final roster cuts this preseason, but that hasn't stopped teams from showing interest in the former North Carolina Tar Heels standout. The Cincinnati Bengals, Kansas City Chiefs, Seattle Seahawks and Detroit Lions have all worked out Austin since he was released by the Giants.

They all worked him out but didn't offer him a contract. Rather telling.

I give the Giants credit for making a mistake, admitting it, and releasing him. Second round pick or not, he just never produced. some team will give him a chance. On paper he looks good, and every team thinks they can fix the guy the last team couldn't.
