Blind-school band to spell Braille "Ohio" during Ohio St. game

09:50 AM ET 09.21 | When Billy Brandon and Boniface Womber dot the "i" in Ohio Stadium this afternoon, they won't see the majesty of the crowd applauding in tribute. They will, though, hear and feel the visceral roar and rumble. Such a response will be more than enough to thrill the sousaphone players, who, along with 21 other students from the Ohio State School for the Blind, will perform a Braille version of Script Ohio alongside the Ohio State University band at halftime of the game against Florida A&M. "I'm trying to picture myself being there," Brandon said recently, "and it's like, 'Wow.' It's kind of hard to do." Because the Braille character "i" consists of two dots, director Carol Agler is allowing both teenagers to take the traditional hats-off bow.

I doubt the football players at the SEC schools could even spell Ohio.
