04:40 PM ET 09.21 | Unless you're a speedy outside rusher (say like a Reggie Bush or Darren Sproles), the more stocky you are, the better inside rusher you become -- at least, that's the perception. That's apparently the hope of the Dallas Cowboys who want starting running back DeMarco Murray to put on some pounds. Murray, who had a solid Week 1 against the New York Giants, was dreadfully abysmal against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 2, only posting a 2.8 average per carry.

Cowboys want DeMarco Murray to gain weight

Which smart arse came up with this strategy, Romo, Garrett, JJ or one of the FN interns?

It's hard work, but it's for the good of the team.

Now go look and see how many running plays they have called all season. Sure..blame him! That is so ****'n stupid!!!

September 22, 2013  08:20 AM ET

Yeah they wanted Felix Jones to gain weight too. Look how that turned out.

I want him to gain 100 yards in one game.. NOT IN THE WHOLE SEASON.. but it doesn't look like that's going to happen

$88 X 178 hours =$15664.. that more then just a ''few hours"

$86 X 174 hours = $14964.. see comment above

Maybe he should gain about 250 lb's in the form of a blocking fullback. A guard or two might help as well.

LOL.

Simple. JJ should hire Chris Christie as the "conditioning" coach.

I want Demarco Murray to gain yards. This is accomplished by giving Demarco Murray the ball. It is not accomplished by using him as a blocker.

Then again - maybe I'm an idiot.

No, Otis, you're not an idiot. I, on the other hand, drafted Murray in fantasy. See? This is what an idiot looks like.

The Oregon Ducks/Nike U diet slapped a good 100 pounds on Chip Kelly.

Hey Demarco, call me, I've got a lot of weight I'm glad to give away.
