07:21 AM ET 09.23 | Where will the eyes of the college football world be focused on Jan. 9, 2017? Minneapolis will submit a bid for the 2017 College Football Championship Game and is ready to put significant money behind that commitment, Vikings vice president of stadium development Lester Bagley told CBSSports.com. The Vikings, who will open Vikings Stadium in 2016 with help from the state, would expect a $90 million economic impact from a title game and will invest $10 million or more "to get that type of return," Bagley said. "It's a community effort. The Vikings are throwing in," Bagley said. The Vikings, Twins, University of Minnesota, Timberwolves and Minneapolis' convention/visitors association will spearhead the push for the Jan. 9, 2017 game. The deadline for bid submission to the College Football Playoff is Friday.

I was there for the Bills/Skins Superbowl in 92. Cold outside, yes, but a very accommodating and friendly population, plus you can walk from uptown to downtown through their skyways without ever stepping out into the cold. Great restaurants too.

Yep ive also been there for some games and it is a bitter cold **** out but a very nice place and great atmosphere to be around
