06:19 PM ET 09.23 | Detroit Lions running back Reggie Bush tweaked his knee in Week 2, which led to him being forced to watch the team's Week 3 matchup against the Washington Redskins from the sideline as an inactive. Bush likely would have had a huge day against the putrid Redskins defense, but the team decided to proceed with caution and hold him out of action. However, the team's starting running back plans to suit up against the undefeated Chicago Bears. In fact, Bush felt that he could have played this weekend.

"Putrid?"

It may be accurate, but it's hardly polite.

Yeah. It's more politically correct to say they 'stink.'

Putrid? Well, I suppose it is decaying/rotting. Glad to see the FN lads are dusting off the old thesaurus.

September 23, 2013  11:18 PM ET

I don't know about "putrid". That's a bit rough indeed.

He says he could've played only because his backup looked like a starter against Wash. He doesn't want that to happen two weeks in a row.

Start 'em !

Wait... "likely would've had a huge day."

What kind of rooty poot article states hypothetical ..... Oh Fan sided... Nevermind.

Should be a good division game. No gimme for the Bears

September 24, 2013  10:35 AM ET

Reggie is going to have one of those "welcome to the NFC North" hits at some point of this game and I'm guessing it's gonna come from Briggs.

How about ... decomposing, decaying, rotten, bad, rancid, moldy, cheesy.

Any of those more to your liking? ;-)

He's probably right.

But ... is it the smart thing to do? We'll find out this weekend.

That should be a good game. I have them even up. Irony is I had the Lions, Vikes, Pack and Bears in that order for the division. Who would have thunk it da bears would be in first now, the Lions, then pack, then vikes.

GO BEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

September 28, 2013  09:55 PM ET

Lions and Bears are so up and down with their play, I wouldn't bet on this game either way.
