Buccaneers never considered benching Josh Freeman

06:08 PM ET 09.23 | Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans are growing increasingly frustrated with the play of starting quarterback Josh Freeman, who has shown no ability to improve since becoming the team's No. 1 signal-caller. Freeman has looked out of his league and incapable of leading the team. As a result, many are calling for rookie Mike Glennon to get his shot. During the Week 3 loss to the New England Patriots, it looked like that time may be coming. Glennon appeared to be getting ready for the game, but apparently he was just pacing and never even warmed up. According to reports, head coach Greg Schiano said later that he had never even considered benching Freeman during the game. But maybe he should. Freeman has completed a miserable 45.7 percent of his passes through the first weeks of the season for just 571 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions. What is even worse? Freeman is averaging just 6.07 yards per completion.

He sure made a boneheaded play before the half by throwing an int with 11 seconds left that allowed the Pats to get 3 more points.

Who is number 1?

You are number 5.

I am not a number! I am a Freeman!

Well, they've done it now.

I'd have been more surprised if Schiano didn't bench him.
