07:12 AM ET 09.24 | After three games, four touchdowns and more than 350 yards receiving, Saints tight end Jimmy Graham certainly has started strong. But Graham still doesn't have a new contract. Per multiple league sources, the Saints have made an offer. Graham's camp has not yet responded. Graham has entered the final season of his slotted rookie deal. Drafted the same year as Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez, both of whom received long-term extensions, Graham is still waiting. He may have to wait a little longer. Or a lot longer. ... Meanwhile, look for Graham to continue to take the high road. Though he has earned the ability not to carry the risk of serious injury, the Saints have shown that they won't pay close to market value until the player has maximum leverage. If Graham stays healthy, he'll have it.

He was a killer in the red zone...

Patriots would jump on this dude if he were available...

September 24, 2013  08:15 AM ET

He'd look INCREDIBLE here in green and gold.

September 24, 2013  08:17 AM ET

Don't screw this up, Saints.

I bet the saints tag him next year.

Not trying hard enough, it seems.

Hey, the guy is playing and contributing, not holding out. Give him points for that.

He's really dangerous on the side of dirt roads.

Graham might as well put the tag on himself now, just to see how it fits.

You bet they will. The franchise tag number for a Tight End this year is $6 million. They will tag him the following year too. cheaper than what he is asking for no doubt.

the dudes getting me a **** ton of fantasy points

Does that go down if Hernandez is convicted of Murder One?

September 24, 2013  09:29 AM ET

Jerry Jones, please open your wallet and give us a two tight end threat.

Good point. don't know. Still cheaper than any new contract. He will claim he is really a WR who just moves around a lot, just like Cruz tried to instead of receiving slot receiver money.

Plus a new house. Aaron has housing, and food, for life.

Don't pay the man. Just look at what happened to AH & the Gronk, it's been downhill ever since!
Keep the man hungry and thriving.
