07:12 AM ET 09.24 | In the case of Adam "Pacman" Jones, how many run-ins with the law is too many? The latest incident comes two weeks before Jones is scheduled to stand trial after he was arrested and accused of hitting a 34-year-old woman at a downtown nightclub in June. Jones is scheduled for an Oct. 7 trial for that incident. This is the fourth time since October 2010 that Jones has been involved in an off-field incident in Cincinnati. He has at least seven other arrests and a dozen run-ins with police since entering the league as a first-round pick by Tennessee in 2005. ... He played 80 of 81 defensive snaps in Sunday's 34-30 win over Green Bay and had four tackles. Should Jones be found guilty in either case, he could be subject to suspension under the league's personal conduct policy as a repeat offender.

Regardless of whether he was at fault in any of these cases, trouble seems to follow him.

Didn't he speak at this year's?

He should come back and just stand on the stage. The league should hang a bright, flashing Red Arrow pointing down at him with the words "This is NOT what you aspire to be"!

As far as the league is concerned, it's all good as long as he wears the right socks. If THAT changes, Goodell will spring to action and deal with the little scamp.

"Jones was born in Atlanta, Georgia and raised by his mother, Deborah Jones, and his grandmother, Christine Jones. His father was killed in a robbery in 1991 at the age of 26."

Wikipedia, quoting Esquire. Neither article says whether he was the robber or the robbee.

He's still trying to pay off an $11M judgment from that "scrip club" shooting, isn't he?

Yeah... this is going to help.
