Deng's camp frustrated with Bulls medical staff

07:21 AM ET 09.24 | Would the return of Derrick Rose be followed not long after by the departure of Luol Deng? [Deng] was looking for an extension in the offseason. But Chicago opted not to give him one, which will allow him to explore unrestricted free agency next summer. It doesn't mean Deng is gone for sure. But it introduces the possibility. ... [Given that Andre Iguodala] got a four-year, $48 million free agent deal from Golden State as part of a sign-and-trade deal with Utah, Deng's floor would be at $12 to $13 million per year. Anything above that is likely to be too rich for the Bulls, given the possibilities Chicago can entertain after this season. "We never negotiated," Rudoy said Friday. "We had several meetings. One was to discuss the medical care he got, or did not get, after his spinal tap [in May], which was of great concern to him."

Reinsdorf is a piece of **** person. I don't understand why anyone would want to play for that guy. He cares nothing about his players beyond what they can do for him. The moment they outlive their usefulness in his estimation, he looks to disgard them like yesterday's paper. Remember how he treated Phil Jackson and Scottie Pippen?

Some of us poke fun at Mark Cuban for being too involved sometimes but he does it because he truly loves the guys on his team. Reinsdorf treats them like cattle. Jordan didn't even like Reinsdorf, and all but said it many times.

Deng > iguodala

That's why his trade value will be very high or other teams will overpay him in the Summer because the superstar free agents will stick to their team.

Bulls have the cheapest management going.
Deng should go to the lakers next season.
Their ownership sucks and their best player has no rage to win!

Jgb, what up?

I agree, Reinsdorf is a royal dork. His mismanagement of the Bulls resulted in them being broken apart; he could've won two more championships with the roster they had; he wanted to go younger and basically put those guys out to pasture, which was a mistake. Clearly the bottom line is more important to him than the relatoinship with the player.

This is a front office that threw away 6 consecutive championships to "rebuild." If they haven't made Deng an offer, they're willing to let him walk.
