Rams looking for defining moment against 49ers

04:12 PM ET 09.24 | The St. Louis Rams are coming off of one of their worst losses since Jeff Fisher took over as head coach and getting back in the win column will be no easy task. St. Louis faces division rival San Francisco 49ers on Thursday Night Football to kick off Week 4 of the 2013-14 NFL regular season, and Fisher says that the team will be looking for a "defining moment" in the game. Last season, the Rams did not suffer a defeat against the 49ers, so it is very possible that they will get the moment Fisher is looking for. In the two matchups last season, St. Louis came away with a tie and an overtime win. They will be looking to repeat that success when they face off in prime time on the NFL Network.

Win or lose, it will definitely be a defining moment for the Rams.

Watch game tape from the last couple weeks. Stopping Kaepernickelodeon isn't brain surgery if you got the personnel.

Go Rams! Niners suck!

September 25, 2013  12:07 AM ET

Having more points than the Niners at the end of the game might be such a moment.

I couldn't believe last year Rams won/tied SF. Fischer must have the D locked down for what SpongeKap can do. It's too early to say this is a pivotal game (unless you have a job on TV), but if SL beats SF again there isn't a team out there that shouldn't be able to put together a package to smother Kap.

It's more a defining moment for the Niners. The Lambs aren't going anywhere, but if they beat the Niners, then SF isn't going anywhere either.

LOL, the Niners are desperate for any kind of a win! While the Rams can draft another future QB because Bradford isn't taking his game to another level.

The Rams actually play the 9'ers pretty well.

They did last year. SF won't take the game so lightly this season. They need the game now, and there's got to be a bad taste in their mouth, too.

Maybe their defining moment was last Sunday...

September 25, 2013  09:42 AM ET

I'm a Niners fan but I'm predicting a Rams win this week.

But that was against the Cowboy juggernaut.

This is only the 49ers...
