NFL's next 0-16 threat

07:10 AM ET 09.25 | It may take more than 0-3 to turn Gus Bradley blue. But how about 0-16? Would that do it? We'll never know, say the Jaguars, who cite Bradley's infectious cheerfulness and their own talent and fortitude as reasons they will not become the second team in NFL history to go 0-16. ... at this point, even though there are five other 0-3 teams out there, it is Jacksonville that stands out as a threat to post a long, long losing streak. This week's game against the Colts would seem virtually unwinnable. Could a victory come Oct. 6 at the St.Louis Rams? After that, the Jaguars play the Denver Broncos, San Diego Chargers and San Francisco 49ers, so it seems likely they will take a 0-8 record into their bye week. The Jaguars tune out such negative talk.

Jacksonville... Where top 5 draft picks disappear.

September 25, 2013  07:31 AM ET

I like their chances of 0-16. At the very least, you can say..they are on the clock.

I do not see why Jacksnville has a team. Clearly universities cannot put out enough NFL caliber players to fill Jacksonville's roster. Even England does not want Jacksonville to relocate there.

The Browns or the Bills might spoil their chances to join the Lions in this exclusive club.

It's not like they never get talent, they just don't do anything with it. Odds for 0-16 are good.

But, being Jacksonville, they will eff it up. Or they'll get that #1 pick and decide to trade it away and keep waiting for Gabbert to mature into an elite QB.

The Browns have a win

They already have.

It will be a fluke occurence if the Jags don't go 0-16.

Looking at their schedule, they could steal a game. In a few weeks against the Rams, maybe, or late in the season at Cleveland or home against Buffalo. Other than those, I don't see much for them.

I was saying that the Jags could beat the Browns or the Bills, not that the Browns or Bills would go 0-16.

September 25, 2013  08:48 AM ET

They probably have the best chance, but there are a few more teams withthat chance also.....

Jags
Steelers
Buc's
Skins
Giants
Vikings

and the Jag's don't play any of these teams.

There's a fluke occurrence in the NFL every week.

But the biggest question I have is.... When did they put gold on their helmets ?

...like the girl who wishfully says of her new "bad boy: "I can change him".

"Bradley's infectious cheerfulness and their own talent and fortitude...."

I wonder if either will still be true at the end of the season.

By the end of the season he'll be lucky to have regular bowel movements.

more likely that the losing will be infectious.

They will definitely go 0-16. If you look at their schedule the only teams they have a chance of beating are the Titans and Niners in London which we all know won't happen.. This is possibly the best thing that can happen to the Franchise though as they can draft Teddy Bridgewater and rid themselves of Blaine Gabbert and Chad Henne. QB and LB is their only real weakness as a team as they are pretty decent and young at every other position.

The Bucs are benching Freeman and going with the rookie Mike Glennon.
