Blues' Allen may steal a job

07:28 AM ET 09.25 | As some expected, the Blues are indeed faced with the notion that three is a crowd. Goaltenders Jaroslav Halak and Brian Elliott will split tonight's game in Minnesota. With Halak and Elliott both on one-way NHL contracts, and Jake Allen holding a two-way deal, the logical line of thinking was that Allen would start the season in the American Hockey League. But after a 3-2 overtime victory over Dallas Saturday, don't take that to the bank. "Jake Allen made a great account of himself the last game," Hitchcock said. "I think the next two games will tell us a lot where Brian and Jaro are at. We're hoping they're trending forward. They've had great practices and we think they're both getting ready, but we want to see that, too. ... Jake's not going away quietly."

What the heck happened to the Pens goaltending? Unless Zatkoff pulls a Holtby and shines, the Pens are in trouble.

He'd make a good...Duck.

What would it take to get Halak? A 3rd rounder? He only has a year left on his contract and Blues are feeling the pressure, so it couldn't be much more then that. Hopefully Snow is kicking the tires. A Nabby/Halak 50-50 split could be pretty good this year. A lot better then a Nabby/Poulin 80-20 split

HAHAHA....he's still bitter that he was one of the FlyerNation defending the 59 million dollar contract only a year ago.
