Ravens plan for Ray Rice return on Sunday

11:35 PM ET 09.25 | Ray Rice practiced today and is expecting to play on Sunday as the Ravens take on the Buffalo Bills. Rice sustained an injury to his left hip flexor which kept him from playing last week against the Houston Texans. The Ravens would go on to win that game big and have won two in a row after being embarrassed by Denver on opening Thursday. Expect Bernard Pierce and Ray Rice to share the work load on Sunday as they take a cautious approach with Rice's injury. There is no point rushing him back too early just to play the Bills in Week 4. The Bills rank 30th in rushing yards allowed per game at 155 and it may not be necessary for Rice to carry often as the game wears on.

The plan for him to return...doesn't mean it'll happen.

Yeah. He's a fun player to watch, unless your team is playing against him. He's good for the game. Keep him healthy.

When I hit a growth spurt in 8th grade I planned on being 6'5" and 250 pounds eventually, but wish fulfillment is an immature way to go through life.

So did you make it to 6'5" or 250 pounds, or both?

The Ravens ground game has been anemic so far, but it should get healthier against the Bills.

Spare you from what?

1. An article about a team that you don't like which you felt the need to read and comment on anway?

or

2. The joke of a pro football team in DC?

"Ratbirds"...how creative and original.

i bet you can't even tell me why Ravens are referred to as rat birds without using google.

oh, and by the way, you can call the Ravens whatever you want. just make sure you call them the TWO time and defending SB champs, thanks!

p.s. how many lombardi's does your squad have again?

September 27, 2013  01:47 PM ET

Past is past. The Raiders are past champs...but they ain't going anywhere this season. The Ravens got whupped by the Broncos and barely squeaked by the lowly Browns. They handed Houston their hats but I don't see this as their resurgence to the top. They'll never get past Denver this season if Peyton remains healthy. With Miami and Green Bay on their schedule, things aren't looking all that rosy for Flaccid..er..Flacco. Can you say 1-5 or 2-4 if they can take out the Bills? In fact their schedule gets tougher later. There is always next year though ;)

Wow...look at that. Ravens couldn't get past the 'lowly' Bills this past weekend. 5 INTs? This Raven squad is circling the drain already. At least Flacco has his extension.... lol. Next up , Miami and 2-3.
