07:24 AM ET 09.27 | First, a lot of coaches would love to share Alabama coach Nick Saban's problems, but he is now preaching perspective. Speaking to a room full of fans and thousands of others listening at home, [Saban] was direct with his language and frank about how the expectations surrounding the two-time defending national champions have caused "a lot of anxiety" among the players. "There's a lot of anxiety on our team because of the expectations that everybody has for the team," Saban said on his weekly "Hey, Coach!" radio show. "I think rather than having all these expectations, I think we should turn the expectations into just being supportive." ... "I think we need more of that on our team and we need people to be more supportive of this team," Saban said.

Saban is right.

Fans now days are much too negative and critical. Too much b|tching and moaning when their expectations aren't being met.

CFB is entertainment. Fans should support their team and enjoy the ride.

If you win a lot and win 3 out of the last 4 NCs, it creates an exectaton for winning. He's jut trying to temper a little of that.

Any team that dad won 3 out of the last 4 NCs would be going through this. And the fans.

I agree, Bama has a couple of good test left in the season.

Expectations for the Tide have always been high. As Joe pointed out, the perspective has changed. Bammers have been and will forever be Bammers. You want a different culture? Go to Stanford.
