Wild C.J. Wilson blames Rangers for 'rubbed' baseballs

09:39 AM ET 09.28 | C.J. Wilson blamed "rubbed" baseballs on some of his control issues in the third inning. In that inning, he hit two batters and threw three wild pitches, allowing two runs. Evan Grant tweeted: "CJ Wilson said 1 of every 4 balls were rubbed up & said it wasn't a coincidence."

Gaylord Perry or Whitey Ford would have known what to do with those baseballs. They would look a whole lot different coming in to the batter than they did when the umpire sent it out to them.

That's the stupidity of this. A scuffed baseball is of more benefit to the pitcher than the hitter.
