05:18 PM ET 09.28 | Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has shown plenty of confidence in head coach Jason Garrett, despite the team's past struggles, and he continues to show his strong belief that Garrett could be the man to lead this team to a Super Bowl win. Jones believes that Garrett is still young enough and open to change, that he is continuing to evolve as a coach and the best is still ahead of him. Pump the brakes, Jerry. Garrett is 47 years old and has been around the NFL for years. By now, he should know who he is as a coach and he has shown that. Garrett is a coach that struggled with play calling and was unable to get the offense to play up to the level their talented roster suggests they could. Perhaps the real reason Garrett is so loved by Jones is that he is easily influenced and allows the owner to have his say.

Evolving? You mean, like, a ginger caveman? Cavemen didn't know how to read a game clock, either.

No one in the Dallas area cares what Jerry Jones says. Just the media.

just what dallas needs.... a coach that takes years to evolve into his role as a HC, and a GM that is content with this. gee, wonder why dallas only as one playoff win the last 15 yrs??

also, wish JJ was still "evolving" as a GM..... but he hit a wall when the dementia started!
