09:24 AM ET 09.29 | Fresh off a transcontinental flight from Dubai that landed in Los Angeles just hours before the Los Angeles Lakers' media day, Kobe Bryant was still a long way away from proclaiming when he will be fully recovered from his torn Achilles tendon. "I don't think we really have a particular timetable as far as where I should be right now, but I'm feeling good," Bryant said. The team's original timeline for the recovery of Bryant, who had surgery to repair the Achilles in April, was six to nine months.

Argghhh now this is getting old. We'll see you when we see you, bro! Meanwhile there are several other exciting young players to look forward to.

I'll say his time of winning is done unless he is smart enough to put his ego aside and really start using his players. The days of Iverson in him are gone. He needs to lead his teammates to be better players now instead of forcing himself to ball hog and take over the game. I'm gonna use the word "trust" again because so many Lakers' fans hate that word when I use it.

Will he even play this season? The Lakers are FUBAR.

all the talk about a superhuman recovery was so LA wouldn't amnesty himInstead of rebuilding this year, when there are supposedly elite prospects coming out, they chose to use duct tape, spit and bungee cords to patch a team together for a possible 7-8 seedI don't get it

They won't even make the playoffs this year.

Playoffs for the Tribe! :)

Browns 2-0 since trading Trent....

Trent cannot average 4 yards a carry.... he is simply a solid back- nothing special. He will help Indy since Ballard and Bradshaw got hurt - that is for sure. But getting a first round pick for him looks to be a steal- and I cannot believe I am writing that because I was sure he would of been a stud coming out of Bama....

but, quite simply, no one has seen it...

Hey Mick - your Celts will surely make it into the bottom 7 teams in the league at season's end, don't you think ? That's what it means to say "Celtics in Seven", right ? :)

LOLOLOL

September 29, 2013  07:38 PM ET

the Tribe has won their last 10 games....lost 96 games last year

this year- under Terry Fraoncona- and after spending some money on players like Swisher and Bourn they win 92 games.

what a wild ride. Cleveland will be hosting a playoff game on Wednesday as the better of the 2 AL Wild Card teams.

AWESOME

the Celtics offense is going to be the problem- well, and their post defense.

they do not have anyone that can score on that team

They do not have one player that averaged 15 points on their team. Their rotation of "bigs" is just awful. - plus, it is only a matter of time till they trade Rondo- something they should have done a while ago
