07:07 AM ET 09.30 | Broncos defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio isn't leaving Denver -- yet. A team source told The Denver Post Sunday morning that [Del Rio] will not leave the team during the 2013 season. Del Rio's name has come up as a possible target for USC in its search for a new head football coach; the team fired Lane Kiffin after its Saturday loss to Arizona State. Del Rio's contract with Denver is up in February, and whether he stays with the Broncos or pursues a job elsewhere remains to be seen. The defensive coordinator played football and baseball collegiately at USC before spending 12 seasons in the NFL, and he's coached at the pro level ever since, for the Saints, Ravens, Panthers, Jaguars and now Broncos.

He's already proven two things. He's a good DC. He's not a very good HC.

Stay in Denver. Peyton will cover for any mistakes you make.

Not sure the USC gig is as good as they want you to believe, at least not until they get their scholarships back.

At least they have an excuse ...what is Mack Brown's excuse for the pathetic play of the Horns ?!?!

I certainly hope so. The NFL is crying for the next Mark Sanchez.

I bet all of Tennessee is glad this POS got axed.

I was thinking the same thing. Pretty cold to can somebody when they're not completely awake. Maybe that was the plan.

That was the time they arrived back on campus.

Hey, Lane. I could get you a good deal on a rental property in the Knoxville area. The fans there didn't really get a chance to thank you for all your valuable assistance when you bolted on them.

I think he'll stay in Denver.

I hope he does, but most of these guys need to fail two or three times as a head coach before they slide back to permanently becoming a coordinator.

Why would he

Why "wouldn't" he?? Del Rio's contract with Denver is up in February and his is an USC product. The only question I have is, will he be a good coach with young men??

LOL, as bad as a coach that LK was at Tennessee, he was the best coach they had since when, 2008??

Haden should have had someone lined up before canning Kiffin in a fit of anger. If the USC job is so great Haden should coach team, until he can con someone to take Head coach job. That way Haden can get a close up view of what teams talent level is and what can realisticly can be expected.

It didn't make any difference what time LK got fired, as the whole USC team played like they were asleep. :-)

Dude, you've got a ring-side seat the the Peyton Manning show every week. Stay and get your ring (at least one).

Boy, was I PO'd when F0X switched to the Chargers game yesterday. Nice win for SD and Rivers, though.
